13.04.2006 Intellias participates in a seminar dedicated to ISO Quality Management System

On April 13, 2006, Intellias has taken part in “Increasing Competence of Enterprises and Implementation of International Quality Standards ISO 9000” seminar held by European Business Information Center. The seminar target audience has been composed of small and middle-ranged enterprises, interested in ISO certification. Since the ISO 9001 certification is one of the top priorities of Intellias, the overall information and practical tips obtained at the seminar constitute indisputable value.
The seminar agenda consisted of three subsequent sections: principles and requirements of the quality management, documentation of the quality management system and the procedure of ISO certification.
In the first introductory part of the seminar, the speakers have briefed the participants on the principles and terminology of the ISO process. The fundamentals of quality management process: customer-orientation, top-management leadership, employees’ involvement, systematic approach towards management, are long applied at Intellias, being the baseline for the corporate management.
The second section has provided valuable insights on the documentation of the quality management process, vital for effective planning, functioning and control over the processes. The seminar speakers has emphasised the fact that the documentation should not be limited to the formal asset of the process. The main objective of the quality management documentation is providing practical guidance, setting focal points of the further action.
The final section of the seminar has raised the question of ISO certification procedure, including the approximate duration of the procedure stages, the involvement of the intermediaries and the average cost of the certification.
Taking into consideration that the ISO certification at Intellias is planned for the third quarter of 2006, the seminar has assisted in the perfection of the existent quality management documentation and provided with valuable additional information on the overall ISO process.
